As I was painting this, I couldn’t get the clouds to feel quite right. It wasn’t until I was nearly done when I decided to blur the edges of the clouds on either end so they are more soft and gentle. The softness allows the eye to focus to the crisp lines from the light shining from above and feel complete.
 
Softly - in a way that is neither harsh nor glaring to the eye.
Shimmering - reflecting a gentle light that seems to move slightly.
